About This Blog

New to the Lab serves offers the perspectives of medical laboratory professionals as they enter the field and assimilate. The blog will serve to unite the laboratory community by providing a voice to the younger generations of a profession in which they are becoming the minority. It will cover several topics, including, but not limited to the following: adjusting to the laboratory environment, current events, and various workplace situations and confrontations. Open discussions are both welcome and encouraged as participation from readers helps to advance everyone's understanding of the topic at hand.

About New to the Lab










Stephanie Noblit, MLS(ASCP)CM, is a first year professional medical laboratory scientist. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor of science in medical laboratory science from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and completed her medical laboratory science internship at Pennsylvania Hospital. Currently, she is working in the medical toxicology lab at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is actively involved in the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science and holds leadership positions on both the state and national level.
