Celebrate National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week 2010 with Lab Week Gifts!

Published 12 March 10 01:24 PM
We have bunches of great designs you can use on your products.

One of our publications here, ADVANCE for Medical Laboratory Professionals, put together a great package for laboratorians planning to celebrate National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week 2010. My favorite part is the editorial piece detailing 20 ways to celebrate Lab Week 2010. Readers chimed in and shared the ways they celebrate the week, too, so it's a good read all around, and suggestions include hosting a mimic game show, treating lab professionals to car washes or massages and going wild with a theme week.

Whatever your plans are for this year's celebration, we have you covered, thanks to our selection of exclusive designs made just for medical lab professionals. Of course, it's Friday so I wanted to tool around in the virtual design workshop and I played matchmaker with some of our designs and products to give you some suggestions on laboratory week gifts.

This is my all-time favorite design that we have, and I finally get to put it to use! I stuck this custom lab design on this simple shoulder-strap tote ($4.55 each for 100). The tote bag comes in three colors and features a few different imprint methods.

I liked this notebook with a translucent cover, and out of the nine colors, I chose silver. I paired it with our one-color "Phlebotomists Rock" design. Notebooks work well as promotional items because they're something people will keep, and when you add the custom design, they're a great way to boost morale and celebrate lab professionals.

Last, I went to a classic item, the customizable car magnet, and put our exclusive "Lab Techs Do All the Bloody Work!" design on there. It's a four-color promotion, so any of our designs would work on this car magnet, and they're a steal at $1.15 each for 500.

Of course you're welcome to play matchmaker on your own, pairing up our lab designs or your own logo with any of your favorite products to create your ideal laboratory week gifts. Find something that fits your group of lab professionals and your own personal Lab Week celebration, and go to town!

About Lynn Jusinski

After an internship at a home magazine where she wrote about media rooms and $500,000 pool renovations from the comfort of a teeny, cluttered dorm room, Lynn Jusinski graduated from a small college in Pennsylvania and then moved on to write for two weekly newspapers in suburban Philadelphia. A column she penned for the papers won an award from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association. In 2007, Lynn moved back to the magazine world, and worked full-time as an associate editor for ADVANCE for Health Information Professionals. Her work on the magazine led to “Rookie of the Year” honors and a second place feature award in the annual Editorial Excellence Awards presented by Merion Publications Inc. In her free time, Lynn is typically stuck in traffic, shopping, reading, constructing poorly made crafts and hanging out in and around her hometown.
