ADVANCE's nursing publication is asking readers about their worst Nurses Week gifts ever. Did you ever get something truly atrocious for MT Week?
There's no special journalists week (that I know of, at least), but the Christmas gift at a small community newspaper I worked for prior to joining ADVANCE was the stuff of legends. The 2 years I worked there, I didn't receive so much as a card for the holidays, but the year before I started, a writer wrote a story on Hershey's chocolate. The folks at Hershey's showed their appreciation by sending a bag of Hershey's Kisses to the publisher. Each office received an envelope (interoffice mailed, of course) stuffed with a handful of Kisses to share amongst the staff. No one was all that impressed with the "holiday bonus" that year.
While I'm sure some MTs receive nothing for their efforts during NMTW, have any of you gotten something memorably awful?
