&lt;p&gt;Thank you for your comments. I am not sure that I am in favor of mandatory credentialing either. I do think that credentialing is important which is why I decided to pursue the RMT; however, it would be very hard for me to say that I am more qualified as an MT (assuming I pass the exam!) than someone who has 20+ years in the field.
