About Confessions of a HIM Student

After starting college intending to be a pharmacist, I had a change of heart after a couple of semesters.  I did some research and eventually came across Health Information Management and decided it would be a great field for me.  I thoroughly enjoy the medical field but did not want to have direct hands-on contact with patients and HIM is a great career field to get into and meet those specifications.  Currently I am a student at the University of Pittsburgh and will be starting my senior year this fall.  This blog will be used as a medium to share my experiences and relate to other students in the field.
