According to USA Today, executives and players from major league baseball teams have donated more than $267,000 to candidates for the 2008 presidency.

Overall, 59 percent of the money has gone to Republican candidates, with Rudy Giuliani receiving more than $78,000. Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez -- a soon-to-be free agent with an estimated $300 million price tag -- donated $2,300 to the former New York mayor's campaign.

The newspaper reported that Hillary Clinton led all Democratic recipients, with nearly $50,000.
