Has the Tide Turned for Obama?

With yesterday's victories in the Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia primaries, Barack Obama now leads Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to CNN's Delegate Scorecard.

On the Republican side, John McCain extended his lead over challenger Mike Huckabee with a sweep of the Potomac Primaries.

Here are the latest tallies, as reported by CNN:

Democrats (2,025 needed for nomination)

Barack Obama -- 1,253

Hillary Clinton -- 1,211

 

Republicans (1,191 needed for nomination)

John McCain -- 827

Mike Huckabee -- 217

Ron Paul -- 16
