About AIDS Awareness

AIDS awareness has heightened greatly since the 1980s. But education is sill needed not just among the general public but healthcare professionals. Through her heartfelt blog, Steppie will educate peers on the latest HIV/AIDS info as well as share personal experiences she's endured over years of caring for individuals with this devastating disease.

About Suzanne Steppie











A 15-year LPN, Steppie has worked in a variety of nursing disciplines including geriatrics, home health, family medicine, rehabilitation and pediatrics. She has served as a charge nurse in long-term care and as a clinical coordinator in home health. She entered the HIV/AIDS field in 2005 when she took a position as medication adherence nurse in the Comprehensive HIV Clinic at Lancaster (PA) General Hospital, where she’s been employed since 2000. She considers caring for HIV/AIDS patients her passion and life’s work. She has been published in multiple healthcare publications and is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior/applied psychology at Albright College, Reading, PA.
