Saying Thank You
With the holidays in full swing and 2008 just around the corner, there's no better time to recognize your accomplishments and the people who helped make them happen.
Here in the ADVANCE offices, we celebrated the editorial department's achievements yesterday with an award ceremony and lunch. This weekend, the entire company will get together for our annual holiday party.
In a time when many companies are laying off and cutting back, I feel fortunate to work at a company that continues to grow. And events like these really make me feel appreciated. In addition to the gifts and awards, the most important message I took from yesterday's festivities was "thank you."
Whether the gesture is big or small, please be sure to thank the people who helped make your company a success this year -- your employess, your residents, their families, and anyone and everyone else played a role. When you do, I know they'll thank you back.
