Individualized Care
While searching for health news, I came across a column written by Dr. Deepak Chopra, one of the greatest leaders in the field of mind-body medicine. In it, he states that "each patient is unique, and therefore one cannot expect that the same therapy will lead to the same results in everybody."
This harkens to the idea of Person Centered Care, a philosophy supported by many leaders in long-term care that focuses on each individual resident. If you're not familiar with it, please resolve this year to make it a part of your organization.
