World Spirometry Day Webinar

Published October 14, 2010 10:15 AM by test test

Is your hospital ready for the first annual World Spirometry Day? In addition to raising patient awareness, the day's goal is to educate all providers on the proper use of spirometry.

The American Lung Association in St. Paul is hosting an interactive case study-based webinar for physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, at 12 noon CDT, today.

"The webinar will highlight common mistakes made when conducting spirometry," says Cynthia Piette, American Lung Association. "With this information, providers will be even more accurate in their diagnoses of lung disease."

Ed Corazalla, director of the pulmonary function lab at the University of Minnesota, will lead this 45 minute interactive exercise. There will be live demonstrations and six quizzes to test spirometry knowledge.

To register for today's event, please contact cynthia.piette@lungmn.org

You can discover more about technological advances in spirometry and the top reimbursement questions that your colleagues have on how to make this simple test possible in our World Spirometry Day resources.

And please, tell us what your hospital did to make World Spirometry Day great. We'd like to help make the second annual day even better.
