Entries Being Accepted for Lyle Rosser Continuing Education Scholarship

Published December 5, 2007 1:55 PM by Matthew T. Patton

CLMA announced that it is again accepting entries for the Lyle Rosser Continuing Education Scholarship. On a personal note, I met Lyle Rosser several times in the past before he was killed in an unfortunate biking accident. Lyle was a really great, inspirational man. This is definitely a scholarship worth checking out.

Here's what CLMA had to say:

Through the extremely generous support of BD, CLMA is proud to once again offer The Lyle Rosser, Jr. Continuing Education Scholarship. Since 2004, at least 40 laboratory professionals have experienced ThinkLab who may not have otherwise had the financial resources to attend.

The Lyle Rosser, Jr. Continuing Education Scholarship was created to commemorate the legacy of Lyle Rosser, Jr., a beloved CLMA member who embodied a love of education and believed that every laboratory professional should have the opportunity to learn, no matter what their financial situation. He understood that there is a constant need for education in a time of budget cuts and time restraints, and it is in this spirit that the scholarship is once again offered.

To apply, fill out the application located on the CLMA site, www.clma.org, located here, and send it and the requested accompanying documents to Lisa Bledy at CLMA. Details may be found on the application.

The deadline for applications is Friday, Jan. 18, 2008.
