AAB/AMS Elect New Leaders
Newly elected to the AMS Administrative Board include registrant class board members Joan Fulk, MT(AAB), Primrose OB/GYN, Springfield, MO and Nancy Henderson, MT(AAB), CLS-II medical technologist, Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro, TX. Henrietta Parram, St Louis, MO and Olga Ponomareva, MT(AAB) laboratory manager, Miami-Dade County health Department, FL were elected registrant class board members.
Susan Miller, MT(AAB), Marshfield Clinic Laboratory, Marshfield, WI, was chosen as the 2008-2009 chair elect of the AAB's Associate Member Service, and Samuel Leggett III, MT(AAB), medical technologist, University of North Carolina Hospital, Core Laboratory, was elected vice chairman.
Richard R. Jones Sr., MT(AAB), College Park, GA, continues to serve his second year of a 2-year term as AMS chairman, and Linda Jo Meierhans, MT(AAB), client specialist and senior project manager for Clinical Reference Laboratory, Lenexa, KS, continues to serve as secretary/treasurer.
Margaret A. Papadakis, PhD, HCLD(ABB), director of Carolinas Medical Center Reproductive Biology Laboratories, Charlotte, NC, is chairman of AAB's College of Reproductive Biology (CRB). Pat Lanza, director of government affairs, Sonic Healthcare USA, Hauppage, NY, is chairman of AAB's National Independent Laboratory Association (NILA). Jeffrey P. Massey, PhD, HCLD(ABB), supervisor of the Molecular Biology Section, Michigan Department of Community Health, is chairman of AAB's Environmental Biology and Public Health Section (EBPH). Each special interest section chairman serves as a liaison for that section to the AAB Board of Directors.
