Pall on Private Practice
Lab companies are making their debuts on primetime TV, including Pall Life Sciences, East Hills, NY. The Pall Cord Blood Sterile Collection Bag, which is used for cord blood collection during vaginal births and cesarean sections, and the Pall Cell Wash/Infusion Bag Set, which is used for the thaw/washing and subsequent infusion of previously frozen cord blood stem cells, was recently featured on ABC's Private Practice.
The Pall products joined fan favorite Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) on the show's October 1 season premiere in a delivery room scene. According to a Pall press release, the story line involved "a caesarean birth performed to deliver a pre-mature baby and to capture cord blood to treat the family's ill son."
