Healthcare and the Economy
According to a story I wrote for our November 3 issue called "Pinching Pennies," a few lab directors reported to me that the failing economy has not impacted their laboratory too greatly.
But this article says the state of the economy is making Americas put off receiving medical care, including getting tests done. A Kaiser Family Foundation telephone poll said almost one-third of Americans have skipped a recommended test.
Have you noticed the economy affecting the volume of tests done in your lab, or hasn't it been making an impact?
