NSA Opens New Facility

Published July 29, 2009 3:10 PM by Caitlin Maloney

NeuroScience Associates Inc. (NSA), Knoxville, TN, a neurohistology services company, announced the opening of a new facility to keep up with the growing demand of pharmaceutical companies and research labs. The new lab is projected to quadruple the capacity for brain and spinal cord histology used in medical and scientific research and development.

The economic downturn has led many companies and clients to outsource all or part of their nuerohisology needs to NSA, so the new lab was created to fulfill those requests, according to a company press realease.

NSA's MultiBrain technology allows thousands of sections to be stained simultaneously, eliminating the human and environmental variables that occur under conventional staining. Additionally, by using MultiBrain technology, company performance is eight times less expensive than other methods. This also allows results to be finished in less than 3 weeks per project, according to the company press release.
