Facebook Feedback: Weekends and Specimens

Published October 12, 2011 12:35 PM by Kelly Wolfgang

If you're not following us on Facebook, you're missing a lot of fun feedback. If you are, keep following and spread the word! The conversations are far from over.

We asked Facebook fans: What is the most unique specimen you've ever come across?

Here are selected responses, copied verbatim without editing:

  • Breast milk.
  • huge worm - ugh!
  • Huge mass of hair from someomes stomach. It had to be cut in half to fit in the container.
  • Worm a guy coughed up...turned out to be a 5in long male ascaris lumbricoides
  • Heart shaped uterus....one cervix.....she could've carried two babies.w/ diff.fathers.....diff due dates!
  • Penile implant was interesting.
  • Cathetherized urine specimen with what appeared to be a small nematode.
  • a leg

We also asked Facebook fans: What are your plans for the weekend?

  • Breakfast @ Cracker Barrel & Arts and Crafts Fair!
  • Working tonight and tomorrow night (last couple shifts of 6 in a row because we were slammed and Facebook Feedbackunderstaffed even before a co-worker was hospitalized with cellulitis a little over a week ago). :P The upside of all this work is that I earned "pharmacist's" pay for the 17.5 hours I worked last night and the night before that (not regularly scheduled ones for me). :D
  • Eat, Sleep and Work.
  • working all weekend, going to a wedding Sat, and watching the Bills beat the Eagles at the Ralph = )
  • working...but I'm sure you could've guessed that
  • tune my motorcycle!
  • Work
  • Taking my 4 year daughter to hear spooky storytelling at our local art musuem.
  • Getting my conceal and carry certification.
  • Working. :(
