ADVANCE Outlook: Lab Professionals

Calibration Verification

Published February 8, 2012 9:30 AM by Lynn

Based on the near-record attendance of our recent “Calibration Verification” webinar, this is a compelling topic for clinical laboratory professionals. We appreciate the questions you posed to our speaker and hope you are able to apply this new knowledge to your laboratory processes. Should you have additional questions, please send them our way and we’ll pass them along to our speaker. As well, we have numerous resources on this topic for you to review and share with colleagues on both our ADVANCE for Medical Laboratory Professionals website (www.advanceweb.com/mlp) and our ADVANCE for Administrators of the Laboratory website (www.advanceweb.com/labmanager). As well, the archived webinar is available on both sites for further review and/or download.

What is the real disgrace and mimorality behind all this is that nursing schools, both 2 and 4 year, continue to recruit and fill as many seats as they can with aspiring students, knowing full well that there is no where for these people to go.  It's true that there are alot of nursing jobs out there but all require min of 1 year experience. Once your facility has paid to train you for a year then you will find numerous jobs. Until you have that one year, you are SOL and waiting tables.
