Labspeak: Specialized Vocabulary for the Lab
I saw a list of made-up words on a website for writers, and I have to admit that I liked them. Their meaning was "absitively" clear and they were just plain fun to say. For example:
Separsize: separate and organize
Dreadoric: dreaded and rhetoric
Amazulous: amazing and fabulous
Drismal: weather that is gloomy and drizzling
Automagically: the magical way computers make things happen
Chillaxin: chillin' and relaxin'
So, here's a challenge. How about coming up with some new "labspeak." For example:
Clinicious: A tasty-looking specimen
ITalian - Techno talk
Labliminal: Lapsing into involuntary lab behavior
Diagnoxcious: A doctor who thinks he knows everything
Lab-otomy: A procedure needed after too many hours on the bench
Amplivacation - A couple days off from specimen amplification
