What Are You Grateful For?
At this time of year, many become introspective about what they have accomplished, or failed to accomplish, all year. It is also easy to become panic-stricken and tense at the hustle and obligations of the upcoming holiday season.
But, I like to take time just to reflect on the people, events, blessings--and even challenges and life lessons-- I am grateful for.
As a profession, we play such an important role in bettering other people's lives. Our contribution is neither fleeting, selfish nor trivial. Without individuals like YOU working selflessly, using your knowledge and skill to diagnose diseases, monitor treatment and advance wellness, this nation would be vastly worse off.
So pretty close to the top of my gratitude list are all of you and what you do.
