I was interested in creating this blog for a number of reasons.  First, I have never been at a loss for words when it comes to opinions and ideas about things with which I am involved.  Second, I am looking to become an active and productive member of the Medical Technology profession.  I feel if I had known about or had access to some of the great resources I've come across recently, I would have been able to get more questions answered.

I hope to provide an insider's perspective of what the first year on the job is like and hopefully be able to keep current on all the exciting things coming to the profession in the coming years.

Please feel free to ask any questions, and I do mean ANY in regards to the field.  I will do my best to answer honestly and if it is something I'm unsure of, I promise to research as much as I can to get an answer!

Rhonda Daily is an MT at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. Rhonda also plans to continue her education within the clinical science field and is currently researching her options.

Rhonda is passionate about the ultimate goal of the laboratory: efficient, accurate and effective patient care. Her favorite area of the laboratory is Microbiology and she is interested in being involved in the changes coming to the area with the growing need for quicker results by using techniques like PCR and DNA probes.
