Spread the Word: A Medical Technology Student’s Perspective

Advance Track

Published May 28, 2009 8:35 AM by Tiffany Landis

The University of TN Health Science Center offers an advance practice track in Medical Technology, which I was elated to learn about when I applied to the program after already earning a bachelors of science in microbiology.

In the Master's program, the students learn valuable critical thinking skills, research skills and various other higher-level objectives. The thing that intrigues me the most about the program is students are given 4 weeks to do a research project. The students will be provided with a mentor who will help them along the way to achieve their research goals. What a great way to learn about other aspects of the field!

I have done MSc in Biochemsitry.

I have been working in a Clinical lab since last 7-8 years . during my first three years of Job ,i worked hands on with the lab equipments.Since last four yestrs i have been working as a Supervisor,Biochemistry and a quality control Officer in  Hospital based laboratory

since i donot have any formal studies in the field of MLT,I would like to enroll myself in either graduate or post graduate program in MLT depending upon the eligibility.

As i'm working professional,i would like to enroll for a valid online/distance education program.

Does anyone have any knowledgde about any such recognised curriculum outside India?
