NPs Calm Patients' Swine Flu Fears

Published May 4, 2009 9:58 AM by Jennifer Ford

"Congratulations, you have strep throat," said Teresa Long, during a visit with a patient worried he had swine flu.

She saw him in a Take Care clinic after his repeated attempts to be seen at other clinics when he started to feel sick, according to "Walk-In Clinics Cut Down on Worry Time" on delawareonline.com, May 1. One of Take Care's lead NPs explained that most of their patient visits include patient education about the swine flu.

Another case of NPs providing great access to care and patient education. Have you done much patient education on swine flu?
