Unsightly Bra Fat: Kybella Injections Dissolve Fat Cells Non-Surgically

Published August 17, 2016 8:45 AM by Mina Grasso
Fat bulging around the bra, in the front, back or around the arm pits, can be fashionably limiting to many women. This contributes to multiple wardrobe changes and frustration prior to an event.

Lifestyle and genetics play a role in the way fat pockets are distributed in the body. Even people within their ideal weight have pockets of fat they can pinch and would love to eliminate or reduce. Bra fat happens to be a common area of increasing demand for fat reduction.

Kybella® injections used to dissolve fat are a non-surgical option to break up and destroy fat cells.  Kybella®, deoxycholic acid, is FDA approved to dissolve submental fat, also known as the "double chin."

Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that breaks down the fat that we ingest and aids in the absorption of fat. Once injected, a chemical reaction occurs and fat cells are destroyed-permanently. When Kybella® is injected under the chin, a noticeable reduction in fullness is noted and a more defined chin and jawline profile results. Kybella® has been successfully used as an effective solution to treat bra fat as well.

A series of injections are recommended to obtain full results. The number of treatments and amount of solution used varies depending on the size of area of bra fat to be treated.

The demand for bra fat injections with Kybella® will continue to increase as patients become aware of the simple non-surgical office procedure to destroy unwanted fat pockets permanently.
