AOTA at the Conventions
The 2008 Presidential election is rapidly approaching, and both parties are gearing up, with the Democratic National Convention happening now and the Republican National Convention Sept. 1-4. To keep tabs on all the health care policy talk and to decipher what it will mean to OTs, AOTA sent AOTPAC Chair Amy Jo Lamb, OTD, OTR/L, and AOTA Chief Public Affairs Officer Christina Metzler to the DNC this week. Lamb will join AOTA President Penny Moyers Cleveland and AOTA Legislative Representative Tim Nanof at the RNC next week. The AOTA representatives are blogging about their experiences and meetings with legislators and other convention attendees.
