New! Patient Perspective: John Elder Robison

Published December 31, 2008 9:44 AM by Susan Coyle
Reaching inside the mind of a child or adult with an autism spectrum disorder isn't an easy task, but it is something most practitioners would probably like to do as it would give them more insight on how to best treat their patients. John Elder Robison made that a little easier when he published Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger's, a series of short stories detailing his life as an individual with, but not diagnosed with, Asperger's syndrome.

ADVANCE recently had the opportunity to talk to Robison gaining a unique patient perspective and understanding of the syndrome. Check out the article and photos of Robison beginning Jan. 5 at www.advanceweb.com/ot.

Meanwhile, learn more about Robison and where you can purchase his book at http://johnrobison.com/.
