In the Feb. 16 ADVANCE: Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte
In 2006, Josh Blue proved to the world that people with cerebral palsy can take to the stage and make people laugh, when he won NBC's
Last Comic Standing, Season 4 (read "
Standing Up for Disabilities," our cover story on Josh from the Oct. 12, 2006, edition of
ADVANCE). Now another actor with cerebral palsy (CP) is proving once again that CP can't hold anyone back . . .
RJ Mitte, who has a mild form of CP, is a series regular on AMC's Breaking Bad, a show about a chemistry teacher living in New Mexico with his wife and son (Mitte). When the teacher, played by Bryan Cranston, is diagnosed with lung cancer, he finds a new sense of fearlessness that catapults him and his family into a world of drugs and crime.
Find out more about the show and Mitte's role in it in our February 16 issue of ADVANCE for OT. In the meantime, check out the Breaking Bad Web site at http://www.amctv.com/originals/breakingbad/.
