Preparing for the New Semester

Published September 21, 2011 12:32 PM by Jennifer Preston
By this time next week classes will have started.  I’ve been busy trying to enjoy my last little bit of break while also trying to prepare for the new semester and the start of the program.  So far, I’m on track; I’ve registered for classes, bought all my text books (that have been assigned anyways), bought my uniforms (which still needs some alterations), have my school supplies and started filling out all the paperwork for orientation which is next Monday.  Then classes start Tuesday.  I have quite the full load.  I’m taking Clinical Documentation, Elementary Therapy Media with a lab, Fundamentals of OTA Practice with a lab, Neurological Foundations, and Clinical Pathology.  Of these, I’m really looking forward to Elementary Therapy Media and Clinical Pathology and the Neuro one kind of scares.  The brain and nervous system intimidate me.  I’ve taken a Neuro psychology class before and it was NOT pretty.  On top of this class load, I’ll also be working two days a week and am considering taking and cardio class at my gym.  Over ambitious?  Probably, but we’ll see what I can handle.  Either way, I’m just so excited to be starting the program!   Only 14.5 months till graduation!!
