Putting it into Practice: OT Student Blog

Time is flying by

Published June 24, 2012 7:07 PM by Courtney Crone
As I write this post I realize I never posted last week with the craziness that is my life it doesn't seem like a week has already gone by. I finished my first level two fieldwork and have two more weeks off before my second (and final) level two. I am putting some (paid) hours in at work these three weeks to make the final weeks go by smoother. We also started bi-weekly meetings to study for the certification exam. Even though we have only met twice having these meetings set up has eased some of my tension with this up coming exam. I am nervous about the testing not because I don't think I know the material but that I will read into the questions and answer "what if" instead of just the question that was asked. These weekly meetings are helping me to focus only on the question asked and remember to answer what the book says is the best answer not what might happen in the real world because of co-morbidities or patient preference. How about you, how did you prepare for the cert exam? did you start days, weeks or months in advance?
