Transitions

Published August 27, 2012 7:52 PM by Courtney Crone
Tomorrow I start my 3rd transition in this fieldwork as the school year starts. The first part of this fieldwork was summer school and for the past two weeks I have been working on the residential units, as you may remember I am working at a private school for children with psychiatric disorders with a residential component for children with an abuse history. I am most excited about this transition because I finally get to see what the kids are like during the school day, since summer school had much more relaxed rules while the school year gets down to business because there are so many standards these kids have to meet by the end of the year. I think these final five weeks will be where I learn the most and as I write that I can't believe it is only 5 more weeks until I complete my master's degree. It is a nervous excitement that has come over me the past few days and I cannot wait until these five weeks fly by!
