August Brings Back To School Strategies ...

Published August 8, 2011 1:31 AM by Wendy Hof

I can't believe how quickly this summer is flying by.  I do remember as a child my parents would always say that as you get older the time flies by much quicker but I never believed it.  How could time go by faster?  What did my parents know any way? LOL  And here I am, older and some what wiser and a parent who knows all too well that time really does seem to go by faster.  I can't believe this time next year I will be sending my first born off to college.  I was just sharing a story with a close friend earlier about the silly things he use to do in his car seat and here he is driving his own car and off to start his senior year of high school.  Yes, time truly does fly!

So with August now upon us this means that school is going to be starting before we even know it.  That also brings with it all the fun back to school chores ... getting the school supplies, getting new clothes, the new backpack and getting the kids up early once again.  With this in mind I thought that I would devote my blogs in August to strategies that would help us all get the kids back to school prepared and with as little stress as possible.  There are quite a few things we can do to make the transition from summer fun to school studies an easy one for both our kids and ourselves.

So please join me in the next several weeks as I try to offer help with getting kids up earlier, making the mornings that were once leisurely move into a slightly organized rush so buses, car pools, and school time is not missed, finding the right backpack fit, picking out school supplies in such a way that the teachers requests are met but a sense of organization is also present, and finding some useful websites that will help with homework, schoolwork, and those always fun and some times challenging school projects.

If there is anything you feel you may need a little help with as the new school year begins to loom in the not so distant future please feel free to message or email me and I will do my best to help you.

As always, thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you back here again soon.
