More Ideas for Your Therapy Bag

Published June 8, 2012 4:49 PM by Cecilia Cruse

A few months back I wrote a blog entitled What Do You Have in Your Therapy Bag?

In it, I listed my top 6 favorite things that I always like to have on hand as a clinic and school based therapist. I recently came across Abby's blog and see that she her own spin on this topic as well. Check out her suggestions with a tagline she calls In My Therapy Bag.....  I like her creative problem solving using simple, readily accessible items.

Dr. Anne Zachry's blog on Pedi OT Tips is also an inspiring and informative resource. Check out her OT Activities tagline if you need some fresh ideas for treatment activities.

Finally, did you know that AOTA sponsors monthly Pediatric Virtual Chats?  You can listen to archived chats or participate live by dialing in during the scheduled discussions.  The upcoming July 17th chat for example will be on Sensory Integration: Evidence for Theory and Practice.

With your busy days, I hope these sites help make your practice just a little bit easier, fun and more creative. Enjoy!

Thanks for mentioning my blog! I would like to add another blog to your list of sites for therapy ideas. www.embraceyourchaos.com is a great blog written by an OT with lots of therapy ideas using simple items.
