As an 11-year veteran, my experience ranges from adult rehabilitation to nursing home care and finally landing in pediatrics! I graduated from Springfield College with a Master’s in Education in Occupational Therapy. My Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University is in Business Management with a minor in Education.
I was a teacher previous to joining the OT team. As a new graduate, I was faced with PPS and a glutted OT market. Hence, I dug right in and conducted a search for available positions and relocated to gain experience. Hence, I have had the wonderful opportunity to practice OT in a wide variety of environments, ranging from Albany, NY, to Baltimore, MD, to Presque, Isle, ME and Knoxille, TN. (Of course, I had the moral support of a very wonderful husband in all of this!)
Currently, I am practicing in my home state of Massachusetts in a wonderful specialized sensory integration clinic with gurus you only dream about meeting! In OT, I find every day to be a learning experience, as well as a chance to share with others.
