University of Kentucky PA program faculty member
William Grimes will receive a 2008 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Medallion next month.
Grimes, a faculty member in the UK College of Health Sciences Division of Physician Assistant Studies, of which he is an alumnus, is recognized for his work in opening and operating the NewHope Clinic in Owingsville. The clinic, a collaboration of the UK Area Health Education Center, St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead and Gateway District Health Department, has recorded more than 2,400 visits annually from low-income individuals with no health insurance since it opened in 2000.
