Grant Will Help Train PAs and Other Assistants

Published April 24, 2008 12:35 PM by Stephen Cornell

The Cleveland Plain Dealer published an article about a $2.5 million health care grant. The grant will help fund many health care assistants.

The Department of Labor grant, which will be allocated over three years, will financially help students to become physician assistants, physical and occupational therapy assistants and nursing assistants. It also will train others to handle medical records and work in health information management.

The word assistant will haunt the PA profession forever.
