No More Pens?

Take some pens along to your next conference. Free ones won't be so readily available. From the AAPA:

Paper, pens, and other office supplies adorned with the names of prescription medications or pharmaceutical company logos may soon fall out of style. Updated guidelines, released July 10 by the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, advises pharmaceutical sales representatives against distributing such items, as they "may foster misperceptions that company interactions with healthcare professionals are not based on informing them about medical and scientific issues."
