PAs Are Big News in Connecticut
Well, PAs are big news in Connecticut newspapers for today, anyway.
Pediatric PA (and ADVANCE for PAs editorial board member) Patrick Killeen is quoted in this Danbury News-Times article about an infant with MCADD.
That's not a problem now because Noah's still breast-feeding. But as he gets older, and he's able to monitor his own blood sugar himself, he'll always have to be watchful.
"It's a life-long condition,'' said Patrick Killeen, a physician's assistant at Danbury Hospital who was the first medical professional to give the Voudren's some thoughtful, and practical, advice on how best to deal with Noah's condition.

And PA Martha Kubrynski is the first person quoted in this Hartford Courant article about choosing a primary care "physician or a physician's assistant."
Martha Kubrynski, a physician's assistant at Kensington Primary Care—an internal-medicine practice in Kensington owned by the Hospital of Central Connecticut—advises that trust and communication are two important qualities to seek in a physician or physician's assistant.
"You are coming in at your most vulnerable," Kubrynski said. "You should look for somebody that you connect with."
