PA Program Shelved
Northern Arizona University’s state funding was cut by $21 million this year, or about 13%, according to The Arizona Republic. Because of the cuts, plans for the college’s proposed PA program have been tabled for now.
The cuts come as NAU is experiencing record enrollment with 22,507 students. To save money, the university has closed computer labs in residence halls and put on hold plans for occupational therapy and physician-assistant programs.
