Some More to Look Forward to at CSM '09
Preview: CSM 2009
Justin Elliott, APTA's director of state government affairs, wanted us to point out two CSM forums that might be of interest to attendees. The first is the "Current Political Topics Forum: From the Statehouse to Capitol Hill," sponsored by the Section on Health Policy and Administration, which takes place on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Attendees can learn what new policy issues are emerging in the statehouses this year and catch up on the latest developments on critical federal issues and the outlook for new policy issues in 2009.
The other session is on the APTA Manipulation Task Force, taking place Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The association invites you to join in if your state is dealing with challenges from chiropractors on the legislative or regulatory front. You'll also learn the latest news on what is happening around the country on this issue and be able to get your hands on the task force's new white paper on manipulation and view its new PowerPoint education module.
If you're interested in reading up on these issues before the conference, revisit our coverage of the APTA's State Policy and Payment Forum, which took place in Philadelphia last September, and this story on manipulation.
