ADVANCE Perspective: Physical Therapy

Widener Welcomes ADVANCE

Published April 23, 2009 3:24 PM by Lauren Fritsky
ADVANCE visited the campus of Widener University in Chester, PA, yesterday to speak with physical therapy department faculty and students. The department has a lot of exciting things happening, including a pro-bono clinic to open to the Chester community in September and a solid enrollment set for the fall semester.

Dr. Robin Dole, PT, EdD, PCS, associate dean of the Institute for Physical Therapy Education, who we spoke with for a story in our March grad issue, discussed challenges facing the profession that could impact education but also affirmed her belief that physical therapy will thrive despite the recession. Students Amber Bennick and Beth Sander talked about their roles in developing the pro-bono clinic while students Jim Friend and Kelly Moletress shared their first clinical experiences.

Check our site next week to watch our video interviews, browse through pictures of students in action and take our student survey.
