ADVANCE Perspective: Physical Therapy

APTA 2009: Here We Come!

Published June 2, 2009 5:05 PM by Elizabeth Puliti
The ADVANCE for PT editors are getting ready to board the train to Baltimore! From June 10-13, the American Physical Therapy Association's 2009 conference will take place in "Charm City" at the Baltimore Convention Center.

We plan to take part in key lectures and debates, sit in on informative sessions and tour the latest and greatest at the exhibit hall while we're there. We'll also update our Website with daily photo galleries and live blogging. We will be shooting lots of video on-site too, so check back soon after we return for interviews with leading physical therapists.

In our down time, we plan on checking out Oriole Park and the Inner Harbor, which offers shopping, dining and entertainment. "The Inner Harbor is lovely and it's easy to spend a day wandering around the shops in the area," Carolyn Chanoski, PT, DPT, MS, president of the American Physical Therapy Association of Maryland, told ADVANCE.

For more about the conference, read Managing Editor Brian Ferrie's article, Chesapeake Charm.
