Your Best Five Dates

Published July 2, 2008 9:17 AM by Janey Goude
This post is all about customizing your dates!  Here's the plan--each person writes down his/her five favorite activities.  List your individual favorite things to do, not necessarily what the two of you normally do together.  You can do this with a friend, spouse, parent/child, grandparent/grandchild, etc.  Make sure all ideas fit within your normal date budget!

For a husband/wife the lists may look like this:

His list:                                                 Her list:

Golfing                                                 Shopping

Fishing                                                 Taking a walk

Movies                                                 Dining out

Going to pro sports game                Movies

Working in the yard                            Bowling

Now you combine items from each list to come up with a date.  For example, with the above lists, you could go shopping for Cincinnati Reds paraphernalia, then onto the baseball game.  You've merged an item from his list and her list.  Both people are doing something they enjoy, but they are also participating in something that may be out of their normal comfort zone.  A bit of stretching is never a bad idea.

Happy dating!
