Welcome to My New Blog!
Hello all, my name is Veronica Haywood. I am a physical therapy student at Marquette University. This is sort of my introduction to blogging. I hope that you all will enjoy reading my blogs as much as I will enjoy writing them. I intend to write and reflect on my experiences as a PT student as well as address important issues that directly affect us as students, the physical therapy profession, and the field of health care in general.
I feel that sometimes students don't get the opportunity to fully express themselves and their concerns with other professional students in their fields outside of those in their classrooms. I hope to promote active participation in conversation through my blogging as well as facilitate intellectual development. I am open to all questions, so please do not be afraid to ask anything because there is no such thing as a dumb question.
I am very excited to be sharing my "pearls of wisdom" (as one of my professors calls it) with everyone. I am also excited to share all of the hilarious and also thoughtful anecdotes and sayings that I've picked up over the past year; like how we are all snowflakes because each of us are different in our own special way and no snowflake is the same-I love this one because it is so sweet and true.
Some of the things that I am looking forward to blogging about include professionalism, the roles of students in and outside of the classroom, balancing school and life, from ATS to a SPT, etc. I hope that you all will join me on my journey through PT school and enjoy the ride!
