Classes Begin

Published January 20, 2009 2:21 PM by Veronica Haywood

This has been such an exciting week. I have my first assignment in Biomechanics, my first massage-a-thon meeting and, of course, during my first week of classes. My schedule so far appears pretty relaxed. Even though I have a lot of classes that are known for being difficult, they are arranged in way so that I'm not in one or two classes alllllllll day long.

We also change rooms more often-which might not sound like a big deal, but when you are stuck in the same room, in the same seat for about 8 hours straight...let's just say you never want to see that room again.

My classes also seem like they will be a lot of fun. In biomechanics classes, my group gets to investigate the pressure at L1/L2 while holding loads in different positions. This should be a very interesting project and I can't wait to share what I find with you all!

I actually am very interested in traveling PT. If you know where I can find some good information about it, then that would be awesome! Thank you for your comment !

A change of scenery is not a bad thing!  Nor is a bit of pressure relief :-)

One of the great aspects of the career you've chosen is the versatility in settings.  If you find you like the change of scenery, home health and traveling therapy are two great options.

I look forward to reading your biomechanics findings.

Best,

Janey
