Disparities in Healthcare: A Question

Published February 10, 2009 10:15 AM by Veronica Haywood

Today my blog is more or less a question for everyone:

Disparities in healthcare is something that we frequently here about, but what does it mean? It can be explain in so many different points of view. I am curious as to what you all consider to be disparities in healthcare. I’ll blog on my opinion at a later date!!!

Disparities vary.  Men in peds is one big disparity and what are we doing to recruit them?

Wage disparities exsist as well which affects our performance if we know the other person who does less gets paid more.

Along racial lines there is a hugh disparity of qualified individuals to perform services within their own ethnic/racial  group.

Hope this helps
