Back in Class
Unfortunately no one left a comment to last week's blog, so I will postpone writing on health care disparities. Instead, I'll write about me. :)
So far this has been an exciting semester...well more hectic than exciting. All of our classes are great, but they are hard! On top of that, it is so difficult getting back into the swing of things after being out of class for two months and being on clinical.
Now, two years ago a friend who was a PT student at that time told me "once you go on clinical, you never want to go back to class." Naturally my response was "not me," because I do love school and I love to learn new things. Boy was I ever wrong. Being in class is SO MUCH DIFFERENT than being on clinical. The days go by so much slower in class and we are in class as long as a work day most days. Don't get me wrong, I love class and I have had the opportunity to learn some awesome things so far, but it is just not the same.
The one thing I do love about being in class again is that our committees get to start taking action. I am on the massage-a-thon (MAT for short) committee and I am so excited for this year's MAT. Thanks to the awesome chairwoman, we are now online! We can book and schedule clients online or have them do it from home. I am so excited to see how our fundraiser goes this year now that we are making scheduling so much easier than it's been in the past. Unfortunately we HAD to raise the price a little this year, so I'm hoping that it doesn't negatively affect the fundraiser. I can't wait for us to begin. I just know we are going to blow the 6's out! :D
