Residency Interview

Published December 16, 2008 10:42 AM by Lisa Catenacci

By the time you read this post, I will have already gone through a series of interviews connected to the Marquette University Physical Therapy Neurologic Residency Program. Three interviews total: one with the faculty of MU, one with the staff of the VA, and a third with staff from ProHealth in Waukesha.

This is the first year of the residency program, so there is still a lot to be worked out. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm even applying - because I think I would do a good job in forming the program, giving feedback, and finding ways to make it better. As of right now the nervousness hasn't set in. I'm a big believer in "What shall be, will be"- so if I was meant to take part in this program, it will happen. All I can do is be myself, and hopefully the interviewees will know how much I want this experience. There are three applicants for two positions. I'd like to think that I have a good chance, but I also don't want to get my hopes up.  Anything could happen.

I've thought vaguely about some of the questions they will likely ask, and I've prepared rough answers. Mostly, I'm thinking about what to wear. Dress or suit? Blouse or collared top? Curly or straight hair? These are such unimportant details, but that's how my mind works.

Anyways, wish me luck! I may have some wonderful details next week!
