Nurses Week Gift Guide: Nurse Jewelry and Accessories
Get the nurse in your life some bling.
Last decade called. It wants its subhead back. While I don't really think people call it "bling" so much anymore, jewelry and accessories can make great National Nurses Week gifts, especially for those nurses who aren't the easiest people to shop for. If you're searching for male nurse gifts, this post might not be what you're seeking - though there is that keychain down there - but I wrote about gifts for male nurses a few weeks ago, so you can check out that post.
Jewelry is that little something extra to throw on to make an outfit special. I wanted to pick out some nurse
jewelry specific to that profession and we had lots to choose from. Nurse jewelry can show a nurse's pride in his or her profession, and could be a conversation starter, too. Three of the items I chose are nurse-specific, but one is just for fun (I really like those stretchy rings we have at ADVANCE Healthcare Shop). Jewelry makes a great last-minute gift, too, because it's super easy to wrap or put in a gift bag, there's plenty of options to choose from and we can get the nurse jewelry to you in time for National
Nurses Week, May 6-12 . I tried to pick nurse jewelry with a range of pricing options, so these can fit into your budget and keep the recipient happy, too.
1. #1 Nurse Pins: If your giftee's facility allows, they can even wear this piece of nurse jewelry during work, pinned to a scrub top or jacket. The nurse pins feature "#1 Nurse" etched into a clipboard, and also show off other nursing items like stethoscopes and a nurse cap. With Nurses Week creeping up fast, these won't be around long. You can pick up one of our nurse pins for $7.99.
2. Stretchy Rings: I love the way these rings look, and I think they'd make good gifts for Nurses Week 2010.
The rings come with your choice of the words "Believe," "Hope" or "Love." Gift givers don't have to worry about getting the ring size right, because these rings will stretch to accommodate most sizes. They're simple, silver and will go with any outfit. The stretchy rings are on our site for $6.99.
3. Nurse Keychains: Let your favorite nurse know how you feel about him or her with these nurse keychains, which read "Nurses are a blessing." These keychains are
pewter and small enough so that they won't get in the way or bulk up a set of keys. The sentiment is simply stated on a heart-shaped bauble dangling from the keychains. These nurse keychains would've worked for my Nurses Week Gift Guide: Under $5 post, too - they're only $4.99.
4. Nurses Watch: Made with nurses in mind, this white-banded watch features familiar nursing staples around the clock face. This watch is more expensive than the other items I picked out, but it's worth the price, according to customer and student nurse Kit. She wrote, "Very nice watch and the patients who see it love it so much! The price is so good too. I recommended colleagues to buy from here!" If you like this nurse watch, you can check out our other watches, too - we have a nice selection and a few new ones were even added just today.
