Spotlight on Spring Scrub Tops

Published 18 February 11 01:45 PM

On Groundhog's Day earlier this month, Punxsutawney Phil divined spring would come early this year. With the 65 degree weather here in Philadelphia, we think the groundhog might be on to something.

Our new spring scrub tops couldn't have arrived sooner. Here are a few of my favorites:

Koi Women's "Danielle" Scrub Top with "Sunshine Lawn" Print (left): This top is cute enough to wear with jeans while you're running errands. I absolutely love the asymmetrical fit and lively floral pattern. The top also features a front tie and drop waist. Two front patch pockets neatly store your pens and supplies. I normally don't rate products, but if I did, this would get a perfect 10 out of 10 in my book!

Healing Hands Women's "Erin" Scrub Top with "Painted Carnations" Print (middle): This perfectly pretty top ushers in the new season with a purple floral pattern and orchid trim around the scoop neckline. I also love the story behind the Healing Hands brand. As clothing manufacturer Bansi Lakhani recovered in the hospital from a heart attack, he talked with the nurses caring for him about their "ideal" scrubs. Lakhani created the Healing Hands scrub line with his caregivers in mind.

Skechers Women's Square Neck Scrub Top with "Chantilly Lace" Print (right): If you prefer vintage fashions, this top is for you. The Skechers top features cotton sheeting print designed to look like the delicate 18th century hand-made lace. Chantilly lace was a favorite of Marie Antoinette and Louis XV's mistress Mme. du Barry. Delicate buttons and smocking along the square add a feminine flair to this overall gorgeous top.
