Early Intervention Parent Survey

This survey is designed for the parents of a child or children that are either currently receiving or have ever received Early Intervention Birth to 5 services in any developmental area at any time.

The purpose of this survey is to gather useful feedback about the EI experience from a parent's perspective. As an SLP working in EI for almost 6 years, I welcome the thoughts and perceptions of experienced parents who have welcomed therapists into their home and their child's classroom.

The results and insights gathered through this survey will be shared in the upcoming weeks on this blog. Thank you for your participation! Click here for the survey.

I have a question about the previous comment. I was wondering which state this was in and whether the children had a formal diagnosis and from whom?  I may be able to provide you with more information that may be of assistance once I have the answers to these questions. In the state where I live there are legal actions that can be taken as well as Advocates to assist you if the children meet certain criteria

Two of my three foster children SHOULD have received services from Early On, but did not.  This has made it very frustrating because the primary and elementary schools have refused them services as well.  They have problems with muscle tone, motor skills, fine motor coordination, sensory integration.  One has aspirger's and one is dyslexic.  Both have attention deficit problems as well.  Their birth parents could have benefitted from Early Intervention service and parent training!
